The best-selling female singer of 90s, Mariah Carey (March 27, 1969) rose to superstardom on the strength of her stunning 5 octave voice; an elastic talent who moved easily from glossy ballads to hip-hop inspired dance-pop, she earned frequent comparison to rivals Celine Dion and legendary Whitney Houston, but did them both one better by composing all of her own material.
Born and raised in New York, Carey had a difficult childhood. However at age 18, things were about to change for Carey. She attended an industry party where she met a the president of Sony Music Entertainment. After that day, she became ‘’Mariah Carey’’ we love today. With hits such as “Vision of Love” and “I Don’t Wanna Cry,” pop diva Mariah Carey holds the record for most No. 1 debuts in Billboard Hot 100 history.
“Music is what I love and it’s what I feel and it’s in me and to know that I can do something that I enjoy and hopefully bring some enjoyment to other people.” – Mariah Carey

Good list though I have to disagree on some contenders. Fantasy (Remix) WAS VERY LEGENDARY because it started off the trend “putting rap verses in pop/r&b song remixes” but it is NOT the most popular song of Mariah’s. The number one spot should go to “We Belong Together”. It is the most listened single in history until “Blurred Lines” broke the record. So, basically people from WORLDWIDE knows the song. The number two spot should go to “All I Want For Christmas Is You” (the original version, not with the Justin Bieber one, that one sucks). Number 3 dhould have go to EITHER One Sweet Day/Hero. Both of the songs are very inspirational and infact RESCUED people from killing themselves/ doing something they will regret/ cry them eyes to blood.

Here’s my list from the what the Top 10 SHOULD Be (I’m A Lambily – Duhh) :

    1. We Belong Together (forever Mariah’s best single)
    2. All I Want For Christmas Is You (the best-selling holiday single of all time)
    3. One Sweet Day OR Hero (I do think One Sweet Day is suitable here)
    4. Hero OR One Sweet Day (both songs are equally and greatly inspirational)
    5. Fantasy (a legendary song that hailed because it started R&B/Pop trend)
    6. Always Be My Baby (One of her hit smash during her ‘golden era’ of Daydream)
    7. My All (even though the song was #1 for 1 week, the song gained WORLDWIDE success, though not as successful as Fantasy/One Sweet Day)
    8. Without You (even though the song didn’t peak #1, it gained WORLDWIDE success and became one of the best covers of all time)
    9. Honey (the #1 track with a controversial music video that shocks not only U.S. but the whole wide WORLD)
    10. Dreamlover (Her best single in U.S. from the Music Box album, the third-best one from the same album worldwide (losing to Hero and Without You)
