German artist Gesine Marwedel takes body painting to a new level by using the natural shapes of the human form and transforming them into animals and organs. For her, body painting is not just paint on a living canvas, it is picking up the body shapes in the subject and the painting on the body. It is the transformation of a human being into a breathing, moving, living work of art. These are her words from artist’s official page. One of her most incredible painting is a woman transformed into a swan about to take flight. It is just amazing how she could paint such a detailed swan on a living canvas like that.
